Hemp For Victory

Hemp for Victory is a film produced in 1942 by the US Department of Agrigulture. The government took a slightly different approach to hemp production prior to the 1960s.

"In 1942, patriotic farmers at the government’s request planted 36,000 acres of seed hemp, an increase of several thousand percent. The goal for 1943 is 50,000 acres of seed hemp."

Hemp for Victory is worth the 13 minutes and 42 seconds it takes to watch. This is a film that was virtually unknown until 1989.
