Hot Rod Show in Austin

It's that time again...The Lonestar Rod & Custom Roundup. Friday, March 30th through Sunday, April 1st. If you only have one day to go, Saturday is the day of the 'Big Show'.

Some of the events...
Kustom Art Show opening - 7pm
Upstairs at the Continental Gallery, featuring the latest work by Von Franco, Dennis McPhail, Keith Weesner, Jeff Norwell, Todd Sanders, David Perry, Mike Guerrero and Cory Graham. (Runs all weekend)

There will be lots of live music for this event check out the website for details. If you are a chopper fan, there will be art for you too...Fly Right Choppers will be there.

The Big Show - all day Saturday
Festival Beach (right on the shores of town lake) hosts live bands onstage all day, and artists & vendors all supporting individuals and car clubs in their Hot Rods and Kustoms from all over the country. (admission is $10--kids under 12 are free)

I know it is odd that this eccentric hippie would love hot rods, but I do. I won't own one, but I still appreciate the effort that goes into their beauty and power.
