My Flipside Find

We left on Thursday for Flipside and just returned. It was another wonderful delve into creation and inhibition. We met incredible person after incredible person, each with amazing ideas and perspectives.

We went for a walk on the mesa on Friday night and stumbled across this incredible sight, sound and electrical experience. It was not only the coolest thing I've ever seen at Flipside, but I think that it's one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

This video is a joint effort of ArcAttack (Tesla Coils) and Craig Newswanger (Drums & PVC pipe organ) of Resonance Studios.

It gives you an idea of what is going on, but truly doesn't capture the beauty or the power of the sights, sounds or electricity. You really must witness it in person to appreciate it.

"Creepy Circus Song"

Joe DiPrima and Oliver Greaves are the mad scientists who designed and constructed the coils. The music is by John DiPrima and Tony Smith.

I have always been a huge fan of Nikola Tesla and his work. Although this is not a direction he had time to explore, I think he would be very pleased. Please read about Nikola and his contributions to science and peace. The more I learn about him and about his work, the more I am impressed with who he was as a human being.

Erik,
Thanks for stopping by Roxiticus Desperate Housewives and for your Battle of the Blogs vote. I came to visit Truth & Beauty, enjoyed the creepy circus song, and voted for you, too.
Enjoy the last of your Memorial Day weekend...a perfect start to the summer season.
