Two Views of Nature

I am posting two shots tonight.
The flower below came out so clear it seems ultra-real:

Nico, your phone photography inspired me to do a bit of my own.

"Dream Walking" came out much more surreal:

Each is beautiful to me for different reasons.

Each photo seems to call for different care, different coaxing.  I try not to judge what is happening as each image takes shape.  I will often create multiple images from a single base and painstakingly eliminate all but one. (OK...Sometimes I can't eliminate down to just one)

Just browsing, found you through James Wei...interesting blog you have here! Your flower capture is beautiful, I enjoy photographing nature and using the sun as a tool. I'm just an amatuer. Great artwork here as well.

I like the second picture. You have created a nice effect with this picture. The detail on the first is very good too though.

hi Erik. First and foremost, great pictures. Both really showed what your blog is all about.

Second, thanks for the comment you left on my blog regarding the whiney cyberstalker. Thanks for the concern and have a good day!

See you around!

The flower photo elicits thoughts of pristine-ness and purity....
and the second photo is stunning. I love it, it reminds me that it's possible to see the world in many different contexts.

Hi Erik, I find that this shot and the way you manipulated it is very original. It's a pleasure to be able to follow this rich blog, full of excellent images, personal research and interesting ideas. I noticed that even with if your means are changing, the creative style is definitively still there. Well done!

And there I am, peeking out from your sidebar on your shiny new EntreCard widget!
