World Naked Bike Ride

For a more light-hearted event; I plan to attend, participate and photograph Austin's contribution to the World Naked Bike Ride.

(photo found on flicker here)

In cities around the world, people will be riding bikes naked to celebrate cycling and the human body. The ride demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against car culture.

That certainly demonstrates the um...naked vulnerability of cyclists on the road! Doesn't look very comfortable, either...

You got my Battle of the Blogs vote!

That's awesome! But uh...in Norfolk they aren't so kind to odd people to begin with. We are in the shadow of Regent University and the largest Naval installation in the US! It makes me scared to think of doing something like that here.

Maybe I'll go up to DC!

I am glad you are participating. I am also glad you used my photo from last year's event. Sadly I will not be able to attend this year so I look forward to seeing your photos.

Thanks guys!!! We are excited about it!!!

I just bought a thong for the ride and wasn't allowed to try it on first (of course). Unfortunately, the attendent underestimated the amount of material we needed. :)

Oh well...It should be an adventure.

Donald,

So great to hear from you. I am only taking a 2 megapixel with me for this one. The SLR would be a bit cumbersome for the ride.

I do hope to get some fun photos, though.
