Amazing Ant Architecture
This is an incredible video about the underground worlds ants create for themselves and their amazing architecture. Researchers located an abandoned ant colony and filled it with 10 tons of cement. It took three days to fill the underground megalopolis. They let it sit for about a month and then excavate it. Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks to my Dad for sending me the link to this one. He found here it at Kim Komando's video of the day site.
We will be back from Canada late tonight.

Turning the Place Over
'Turning the Place Over' is an amazing art installation in Liverpool, England created by Richard Wilson. It is an 8 metre ovoid cut from the facade of a building in Liverpool's city centre and made to oscillate in three dimensions by attaching the facade to a giant rotator at an angle. It is in constant motion during daylight hours. The official running date of the installation is 20 June 2007 through the end of 2008.
Richard Wilson is one of Britain’s most renowned sculptors. It is evident that he draws heavily from the worlds of engineering and construction.Wilson is often recognized for his 20:50 installation at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
To see an accelerated view and to gain an understanding of how 'Turning the Place Over' is done check out the Liverpool Biennial site.
'Turning the Place Over' is co-commissioned by the Liverpool Culture Company and Liverpool Biennial, co-funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency and The Northern Way, and facilitated by Liverpool Vision.

"The most daring piece of public art ever commissioned in the UK, Turning the Place Over is artist Richard Wilson’s most radical intervention into architecture to date, turning a building in Liverpool’s city centre literally inside out. One of Wilson’s very rare temporary works, Turning the Place Over colonises Cross Keys House, Moorfields, and will be launched in June 2007 and will run through until end of 2008."(Liverpool Biennial)

Gothic Architecture
You must take a look at the other pictures Ellen posted (20 December 2006) of Sedlec Ossuary on her blog: Nonchalant Natter of the Sleeping Pirate.
"It is a Christian Chapel embellished (Baroque style) by 40,000 sets of human bones. Sedlec, is a suburb in the outskirts of the Czech town Kutna Hora."To read about/view more images from Sedlec Ossuary check out these links:
