The One They Had to Leave Behind

I promised to post these a while back and just stumbled across them unpacking camera goodies. These were taken as we were dropping off the camper just before leaving B.C..

It was an amazing gift to have it in our lives.
It gave us much more than shelter.
We gave it more than paint.

Stilt Faeiry

This was an amazing event and I hope to share more photos and maybe some stories from the 2010 Komasket Music Festival soon.
I really enjoyed all of the stilters running around the festival.

Murray Kyle - A Conscious Roots Groove

Today we begin our journey back to the States. I want to thank everyone who helped us along our journey. We experienced more love and generosity than we ever expected. This adventure has reawakened my sense of wonder, connection and appreciation. I will miss all of you and think of you often.

This is from Murray Kyle's new conscious roots album, "Up From The Ground".

Thanks to Rio, who sent me this one, it really started our travel day off on the right note.

Shambhala

I know it doesn't look like any fun, but I volunteered anyway. No alcohol is allowed. I think there should be more "no alcohol" concerts! It positively impacts the entire vibe.

I had wanted to share photos from Shambhala, but I only took this one...around 6 am the morning before the festival. This was before most of the crowds arrived. Instead of taking a shot in panoramic view once the crowds arrived, I enjoyed sharing food, drinks, dancing, hugs, massages, philosophy and love with everyone around instead.

I had an amazing time and would happily go again.

P.S. This is not a place to bring children.

Cherryville

The beauty along this adventure has been life-impacting. I took this in Cherryville and hope to share a few shots from the Kootenays soon.

Slice of Life

A peaceful afternoon spent enjoying friendship, creativity, and joy. I am so thankful for with we have been gifted with and the beauty available in this life.

Meet Ken

We met him in our travels and found him to be a delightful gent. He served in the Black Watch and has shared so much of Canada's history with me.

What Did You Do For Canada Day?

This is what I did:

Then came the fireworks. I was the one behind the camera this time.
Canadians really love their Canada Day. When you mix in FunFest, the merriment doesn't stop.

A Message of Love

This is an inspiring video with a message of love being shared by Keith Wyatt. "The Call" is the first video in a series of five. There is no hook. It is not an advertisement! It is more of a USA (A Universal Service Announcement).

The Revolution Has Begun.

Okanagan Film Commission at Media Button

I have just a few minutes between study sessions and wanted to share a couple of photo illustrations from the Okanagan Film Commission's gathering at Media Button the other evening.

The first capture is Adam Scorgie, Executive producer of the award-winning documentary, "The Union".

It was wonderful to stand in the midst of this collection of creative talent. I look forward to the creative possibilities that await harvest in the Okanagan. Thanks to Jon Summerland and his talented group at the Commission and to Dave Araki and the creative powerhouse team at Media Button in Kelowna.

The second is Felix Poet (my version of reality).

Quick Study Break

My eyes are crossing from all of the reading and studying I have been doing. This is the first week of the new semester and I am already overloaded. Here's a shot from my study break I took in an attempt to keep what I have left of my sanity.
