The Movie Santa Doesn't Want You To See.

In honor of the coming shopping season, Reverend Billy is on a crusade. He has a new movie, produced by Morgan Spurlock called "What Would Jesus Buy?" I had a blog entry regarding Reverend Billy being arrested for reciting the 1st amendment to the Constitution. You can see it here.
What Would Jesus Buy? follows Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir as they go on a cross-country mission to save Christmas from the Shopocalypse: the end of mankind from consumerism, over-consumption and the fires of eternal debt!

(Click on movie poster to view trailer)

So...this one comes with a warning. I shared this with a number of friends and acquaintances. Some found Reverend Billy to be over the top, in-your-face and a bit offensive. (I like those things about him)

Can I suggest a follow up movie? Who Would Jesus Waterboard?

Thanks to Shelly for this one.

Daily Show - Alberto Gonzalez

Jon Stewart adresses the Senate no-confidence vote issue regarding Alberto Gonzales. And...As usual, Senator Trent Lott is funny, but not funny ha-ha.

"Mommy...Why is the lying man still in charge of the law?"

Killer Tortoise

This is the most tenacious and energetic tortoise I have ever seen. Watch as it chases a cat around the yard.

Another break from politics video with no real point.

A break from politics

Too much serious stuff makes me a very Grumpy Gus. Here's a fun video with no agenda.

D.C. Sex Scandal

Jon Stewart covers the latest D.C. sex scandal:

Deborah Jeane Palfrey is the woman at the center of a sex scandal that has caused a deputy secretary of state to resign. Palfrey ran her escort service for 13 years. Federal prosecutors allege she was providing $300-an-hour prostitutes plus she was indicted by a grand jury on federal racketeering charges in February.

Palfrey threatened to sell phone records that could unveil thousands of clients. Then...she handed them over to ABC News for free. Then...Randall L. Tobias resigned on Friday as our deputy secretary of state shortly after confirming he had used the service.

Tobias, who is 65 and married, was director of U.S. Foreign Assistance and administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development. He previously held a top job in the Bush administration overseeing AIDS relief, in which he promoted abstinence and a policy requiring grant recipients to swear they oppose prostitution.

ABC is expected to air a report on Palfrey and her clients on "20/20" on May 4, during sweeps. (surprise, surprise)

Morning Music

Morning Music can take many forms. In this video, Marylynn Aminrazavi sings Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You." Moral to the story? IPODs and YouTube can make you famous.

Aminrazavi sings with an unknowing that has it's own beauty.
