Shirt Designer

This is an inspired, sexy, creative, sexy, way to create 5 wonderful outfits made from her "EX-Man's Shirt". Yes... I said sexy twice.

I found her blog today and am an instant fan and follower.

Paschke Girl

Here's a sneak peak at Arlene's newest project entitled, "Paschke Girl" as it was inspired by Ed Paschke's, "Electralady". The design is sitting on a light-board, so the colors and textures are much different than they appear in this photo.

Beyond Speed Skating

This guy is amazing! Jean-Yves Blondeau has designed an incredible suit that allows him to use his entire body to fly down a hill. They call him "Rollerman" for obvious reasons. Watch him as he speeds down a mountain and flies past traffic. Ooooooooooooooooo. Sooooo cooooooooool!!!!!!

I'm glad I didn't know such a thing was possible when I was younger. I'm certain my mother is too.

Photosynth Demonstration by Blaise Agüera y Arcas

This is some trippy new technology that will have a huge impact on digital darkrooms and the Internet graphic environment. Photosynth allows one to locally or remotely interact with visual data as it creates full spatial environments from unrelated pictures that from a panoramic, multidimensional space that allows you to zoom again and again almost seamlessly within a picture and from picture to picture. The video has Blaise Agüera y Arcas, Photosynth's creator demonstrating the program. It's quite amazing to watch the zoom and navigation capabilities of this program.

(Blaise Aguera y Arcas @ home)

Blaise Agüera y Arcas founded Seadragon Software in 2003 and Microsoft acquired them in 2006. Seadragon is a revolutionary technology for storing and managing large visual images through computational analysis. Let's hope this hippie's creation is is used for good purposes.

New Flexible OLED Display Technology

I wonder how this technology will end up being utilized. Sony began mass production of full-color organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays in September of 2004. Sony has recently introduced a new twist on this technology: The new 2.5-inch OLED screen is made of a glass substrate that allows you to casually bend the screen. It uses organic thin-film transistor (TFT) technology to keep clarity in-tact, retain its 0.3mm thickness, and provide 16.8 million colors at a 120 x 160 pixel resolution. The entire thing weighs a total of 1.5 grams.

Hmm...flexible screens. Maybe I won't break so many TVs watching the news and political shows.

It's my Birthday...

Please send me to Flipside!!!

If you know me, you know I should be there.

Flipside weekend will be the weekend of my 40th BIRTHDAY!!! I made certain that nothing would get in the way of me being there this year. Although I missed the ticket deadline. I have had tickets the last 3 years in a row and was unable to go each time and each time I gave my tickets to a desiring soul.

I am now a soul in need of 3 tickets.

We reaeaeaealllllyyyyy want to go. Make my birthday dreams come true...give me a big push Over The Hill at Flipside to usher in a new decade of beauty, creativity and joy.

If you will sell or trade your tickets, we will be ever so grateful. We would also like to offer to take your picture to hang upon the place of highest honor at the Downtempo Teahouse.

See some of my fire entries here.
Some semi-recent art here.

Please contact me with any leads.
