Life's odd placements and pitfalls

Attempting recall with each step

Fumbling through darkness fallen

Searching for unimpeded paths

Stepping lightly, retracting quickly

Each step met with jagged surprises
Nothing in place, nothing the same

Knowing it never shall be again

It's Raining.

Quietly, clouds and darkness approach

Winds whip, rain pounds, and lightning strikes

Seeking shelter from the storm to no avail

Indomitable power, hiding cannot help

The storm will do what the storm will do

Resolved to confront that which I fear

The tempest dwindles and drops diminish

A longing for recovery, repair and new growth

My experience in high school was one of a counter-culture individual (no culture selected) who attended a school where it was ALL ABOUT FOOTBALL! When I have attempted to explain how over-the-top the football emphasis was there, people have looked at me as if I were crafting a story of extremes for impact and attention.

Camper...Step One

Here's our newest collaborative project. Thanks to an amazing friend, we now own a 1969 Aristocrat Land Commander. We started taping and painting about 2 days ago. I will continue to update as the camper evolves.

We met him in our travels and found him to be a delightful gent. He served in the Black Watch and has shared so much of Canada's history with me.

Okanagan Film Commission at Media Button

I have just a few minutes between study sessions and wanted to share a couple of photo illustrations from the Okanagan Film Commission's gathering at Media Button the other evening.

The first capture is Adam Scorgie, Executive producer of the award-winning documentary, "The Union".

It was wonderful to stand in the midst of this collection of creative talent. I look forward to the creative possibilities that await harvest in the Okanagan. Thanks to Jon Summerland and his talented group at the Commission and to Dave Araki and the creative powerhouse team at Media Button in Kelowna.

The second is Felix Poet (my version of reality).

Molino de Viento Rojo

The name of this photo was inspired by Miguel de Cervantes novel, "Don Quixote".

I shot this on the sidewalk in front of the gallery when I showed my work on Exposition in Dallas, TX.

We had two wonderful models who graciously agreed to allow artists at the show to paint them as living canvases draw people in to the show. This young lady turned out to be one of my favorite models and I look forward to working with her again.
